The Inspirational Corner

Intricate, hand-cut scroll art and turned wood writing pens by Rene' and Terry Norrell.  The work is pictures cut into hardwood, primarily oak and birch, using a standard scroll saw.  No computer or laser technology is used in the cutting.  The subjects vary from Western scenes to wildlife to florals, etc.  All are one-of-a-kind.  All frames are custom made, by hand, to compliment the picture.  Most are inlaid with various hardwoods.  The approximate size of most pieces is 17 inches by 14 inches.

The Inspirational Corner believes wood is just waiting for Terry to cut a picture in it to bring out its beauty and character.  Rene' and Terry work together in selecting the hardwoods for the pictures and frames, as well as in design. 

Terry's work has hung in the Paseo Art District of Oklahoma City, been exhibited at multiple art shows around Oklahoma, and is enjoyed internationally.
